  1. I’ve also always loved female characters. Fortunately nobody in my life had a problem with that. Heck, my mom let us play with Barbies and Cabbage Patch kids.

    Then again, when I was a teenager she did ask if I was gonna become gay “just to hurt us”, which was baffling to me on so many levels.

  2. I’m not familiar with Matilda. I do try to teach my son female role models, but I don’t have any control over his other interactions. I did notice that when he first went to school, his opinion on girls and pink suddenly changed.
