I read Lanier’s book You Are Not a Gadget when it came out. I recall it being good. He also was on the Ezra Klein podcast relatively recently, which was interesting.

Patrick Marchiodi TED skews towards rich, mostly white, people talking about stuff to rich, mostly white, people.
Lanier as in Jaron? I know him as one of the godfathers of virtual reality, along with Myron Kreuger. Good to know he’s still kicking around.
The only TED Talk worth anything is the one where you chain the doors shut and burn down the theater with everyone willing to attend a TED Talk trapped inside.
