Our family watched this over the weekend (it’s on Netflix, FYI). It’s about a stick. Who gets separated from his family. It’s really good. It’s also sort of a Christmas movie. But not entirely.
No, really.
It’s short (about 22 minutes), so it’s a good length for little kids, and the animation is really tasteful, yet fun. Bonus: Martin Freeman and Jennifer Saunders are featured voice cast. You may even get weepy at the end!
It’s hard to find “movies” that are suitable for my son. He’s old enough that he can kind of grok the Pixar stuff we’ve shown him, but he’s also young enough that sitting through the entirety of them can be exhausting. There’s a paucity of content on the streaming services less than 90 minutes long that is not just TV series, so it always involves a bit of hunting and research — and even then so many damn sites just recommend Disney this and Disney that.
Anyway, this is a good one.
Maybe too old or long, but the Netflix film of The Little Prince was great, I thought.
are the others up there too?
Gruffalo
Gruffalo’s Child
Room on the Broom
The Highway Rat
they all have stellar casts.
Becky Annison I’m pretty sure Gruffalo and RotB are; I’ll check on the rest. Thanks!
This bought us a vital break during a long holiday flight!
