My son has become a big fan of Yellow Hat Guy Leaves His Pet Monkey Unsupervised Again.

I swear, I feel confident that George eventually renames himself Cesar and starts the ape uprising.

  1. My daughter quickly lost interest in the show, but she’s hooked on the books. We made the unfortunate decision of buying a six-pack of them last year. When you grow older, you forget how long those books can be to read aloud. My wife and I loathe them now. And we can’t stand how George gets rewarded for making right the trouble for which he is responsible the majority of the time. It’s not a great lesson in the end.

  2. Oy. Then again, I’m stuck watching Sarah & Duck all the time now… No one gets into trouble, but after cycling through the two seasons twice it’s just getting painful… And we wonder if Sarah even has parents now.

  3. My personal bane of children’s TV was Caillou. This whiney French-Canadian bratfuck would have minor things happen in his life that would distress him, then he’d get all worked up over it, until someone soothed him and everything was ok. Annoying as fuck.

(I never watched one episode through, but that’s the general impression I had of them.)
