Don’t despair about your handwriting. My nephews sent us a thank-you note last month that had me briefly worried about their mental health. They are 15 and 12, but their handwriting looked like a preschooler’s. My wife explained that schools really don’t teach handwriting anymore and kids don’t practice, even in their everyday lives. I get it, but I don’t get it, ya know?
Dave Turner Yeah, I’ve been reading a lot about both the deterioration of handwriting and the benefits of learning it — especially cursive — technology be damned. There are penmanship workbooks sitting on my Amazon wish list.
If I had more intestinal fortitude, I’d teach myself how to write like architects do. I think they take an entire class for it in school.
Well some of us have inferior handwriting from other sources too…. arthritis does a number of the finger joints and motor control. 🙁
