Good: still entertaining, more Ashley, Ashley’s clockwork magic is pretty cool.
Bad: lots of questionable DM’ing from Mercer, and he continues to hog 97% of the cool narration.
Aside: the guys seem to do most of the talking and proactive action.

Mercer’s instinct to sacrifice rules for story (Did the dwarf fighter get four attacks?) kept me cool on this episode. But his enhanced frost giant speech delivered.
Dave Turner Yeah, I dunno about the speech. It felt like more spotlight on Mercer, and it was such a cliche info dump. “I, the villain, will now assail you with exposition and proper names, and the DM will conveniently forget to ask who speaks giantish so that we can take notes and learn the plot.” Eh.
That’s Mercer’s strength! If you don’t like that, you don’t like him. 😉
Dave Turner Oh, his acting is great. His delivery of characters like the giant is always phenomenal. The device of the exposition-dump just kinda leaves me a little cold.
That said, jury is still out on whether I like him as a whole.
