Thank goodness. Early news of the series being only on CBS’ own app had me groaning.
Never mind. The US is not one of the 188 countries.
VPN time, I guess.

“The first episode of the new series will premiere on the CBS TV network in January. All subsequent episodes thereafter will be exclusively available on CBS All Access in the U.S. and Canada, while those located outside these two markets will be able to leverage their Netflix subscription.”
Sounds like it’s CBS only in the US tho?
Is Netflix country specific? Like if I was in London, would I get UK Netflix with my ‘merica subscription? Or would I be considered U.S. still?
Woohoo! That is excellent news. Well, bad news for Americans I suppose, but good news for me.
Nathan Paoletta God dammit. And here I thought I was awake.

nice to know. Finally my chance to watch Star Trek.
Wow. I think this is the first time ever UK Netflix will have something US Netflix doesn’t.
It’s not the first time Dutch Netflix has something that US and UK don’t. You recently lost Doctor Who, didn’t you? (I don’t mean to gloat, but it’s hard to make it not sound like it.)
Seems like every station wants their own Netflix, instead of just putting it on Netflix like they’re supposed to.
We lost half the Doctor Who seasons to this, but fortunately still have access to the other half. No idea how long that will last.
These networks’ end-runs around Netflix and Hulu make no sense to me, as all it does is make me not want to watch their content (or at least not pay them for it).
This also reminds me of Yahoo! Screen. The only reason I installed the app was to watch the last season of Community. I have not touched it since. If they think Star Trek is going to make me care about CBS’ other shows, they are sadly mistaken.

Clyde Rhoer there is some weird account / device location stuff going on, and it has definitely changed at least once: I used to have US Netflix, and now I think mine is UK.
This sucks. I’ll have to find some other way to find it
I don’t mind Netflix producing their own content. Their own content is pretty good.
