Yesterday,@realDonaldTrump, a man who never served in any capacity said this about me and my brethren that served in Iraq.
The idea that Trump would call out the integrity of those who answered the call of service and deployed to a war zone is repellant. For this reason, and many more, he’s proven that he’s someone with neither the temperament, nor the character, to be Commander in Chief.
Actual veteran calls Trump on his lies. A very good read. Try to ignore that Trump supporters who reply, though.

His bullshit is going to drown him in the general election; I’m so happy about this
I thought the fact that millions of dollars were stolen by enlisted soldiers in the US military was accepted fact (and there have been non-partisan reports to corroborate this).
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending Trump, but this seems to me to be pouncing on him for the cardinal sin of not speaking about the military in anything less than glowing terms which I think has had a pretty shitty effect in politics overall. There’s a billion lies to catch him on – a new one pops out of his mouth every second.
I believe you’re right, Bret. It’s still a dumb thing for anyone (much less a Republican) running for any public office (much less president) to say. It’s delicious.
I will agree with you on that one, though his voting base seems pretty willing to rationalize everything he does that violates the things that would usually put them in a froth.
It’s unfair, in a way, but I don’t care really. Especially with him. He abdicated his right to be treated politely a while back.
It’s funny how we’re one out of phase. Anyway, to continue:
Fortunately he can’t rely on his base alone to win. And his base is narrow.
Extremely fortunate!
I freely admit that I was not as informed on this issue as I should have been before posting. It’s a great narrative, though.
