We habitually scrutinize the ideology behind black and Muslim violence while letting white men off the hook. If Republicans can talk about how President Obama’s rhetoric inspired riots in Baltimore, then we certainly can and should talk about how Republican rhetoric inspires many Americans to resent and hate their fellow human beings.

An old article from the summer, but one I just came across via another article posted by J-Stav.

Exciting news! The Kickstarter launch is this Friday (11/27) – Moon Design is bringing the iconic RuneQuest 2nd edition rulebook back into print, kicking off the celebrations for the 50th Anniversary of Glorantha in 2016!

Okay, I’m impressed. Part of me wants to read the books before getting too deep into this, but I know that I probably do not have the time.

The zero-G effects are fantastic, BTW. I have no idea how they are doing them.

A recent piece from David Petersen of Bilbo and Gandalf. This really makes me want to see Petersen do a fully-illustrated edition of The Hobbit someday. Maybe even all of LotR…

(Reminds me a lot of Trampier, honestly.)

This has been a bad week for the United States, folks. France was directly attacked by terrorists and its response was to promise to house 30,000 Syrian refugees; we weren’t and one branch of our government fell over itself to put the brakes on accepting a third of that number. France is defying the very organization that attacked it while we, on the other hand, are doing exactly what that organization hoped we would do. We’re being the cowardly bigots they hoped we would be, and as loudly as possible.

Frightened, Ignorant and Cowardly is No Way to Go Through Life, Son

My son was running a low-grade Fever this morning, which meant no daycare, so I’ve been home with him all day. It’s teething, not illness, so no biggie.

At times he’s been inconsolable, and I had to spend a lot of time getting him down for his nap. But I tell you, I’ll take this over going to work any day.
