I think this KS project for a D&D 5e setting presented as a deck of tarot-sized cards deserves some signal-boosting. The art is beautiful, and I think the concept is unique. I love the idea of simply shuffling and dealing out cards to see what location or monsters are encountered next.
That said, I don’t know if D&D 5e really does this concept justice. On the surface, it seems like something designed to come to fruition in a session or two would make more sense. and any leveling means transferring the princess stats to a character sheet. I dunno; and example of play would be a really nice addition tot he KS page.
Still, this looks very cool, and I’m setting a reminder for it.
I’m getting it to use with Fate…
Yeah I’d use it with another system maybe.
I had similar thoughts. The card concept is neat, but 5e isn’t the route I’d prefer.
I agree that it looks interesting but that 5e does not seem the best system to use. Also it bothered me that I had to ask about shipping costs.
Swords Without Master eidolons, anyone?
When I backed it it listed shipping cost USA was $0. So assumed included. Is there something I’m missing?
Scott Acker The shipping cost is not listed anywhere. You have to back it to find out it is $0 to the USA. Not listing the shipping costs of physical products clearly is a major mistake in a kickstarter.
They just updated the front page to be clear that USA shipping is free.
Scott Acker Good!
