Help me put together a team of monster hunters drawn from popular media

I was thinking about the Spell-Slinger from Monster of the Week on the train to work this morning, and how its inspiration was Harry Dresden. That, in turn, made me think about the archetypes for the other playbooks, and how it might be cool to do a one-shot where you create a team of cross-universe all-stars to fight some uber Big Bad.

So far I was thinking:

• Harry Dresden (Spell-Slinger)
• Buffy Summers (Chosen)

…but I need two more, three at most.

Candidates I have been considering include: Blade, Mulder and/or Scully, and Hellboy.

The goal is to create a well-rounded team that allows the players to indulge in crossover fanfic genre celebration. That means that no two members can be from he same media property. I also may veto candidates from properties with which I am not familiar, since I need to do chargen.

I also want to make sure there is at least one more female character on the team.

  1. Frank Bannister (The Frighteners)
Seth Gecko, Jacob Fuller (From Dusk Till Dawn)
    Hannibal King (Marvel)
David Ash (Haunted  & its sequels)
The Frog Brothers (The Lost Boys)
And why leave out Fox Mulder & Dana Scully?

  3. Olivia Dunham (Fringe) — The Professional
    Topher (Dollhouse) — The Flake

    Oh, but imagine this….

Ramona Flowers (Scott Pilgrim) — The Monstrous (Pure Drive based on your interpretation of her character–could be fear or even cruelty, Unholy Strength, and maybe a natural attack with the 1-magical base and an augment)

  5. Here’s the straight dope from my intentions when I wrote them (not that I am questioning any other suggestions!)

    – Action Scientist: Atomic Robo
    – Chosen: Buffy and co
    – Crooked: Peter Bishop (early series) or that one thief from the Dresden Files who I can never recall the name.
    – Divine: Castiel
    – Exile: Crane from Sleepy Hollow, or Redferne from Warlock
    – Expert: Giles
    – Flake: Mulder
    – Hard Case: Ash from Evil Dead, Ray Lilly from the Twenty Palaces books, or the main guy from the Monster Hunter International books
    – Meddling Kid: any Scooby Doo character
    – Monstrous: Angel, Oz
    – Mundane: Xander, any of the Scooby Doo crew
    – Professional: Scully
    – Snoop: The Ghost Facers
    – Spooky: Liz Sherman, Willow, early series spooky powers Sam Winchester
    – Summoned: Hellboy (Note: I didn’t write this, but I know Steve was inspired by Hellboy)
    – Wronged: Dean or John Winchester

Obviously, a lot of characters from Buffy and Supernatural in there, but I think there are a few that haven’t already been mentioned.
